American Woolly Mammoth Size Comparison
American Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius americanus) compared to the African bush elephant and the Columbian mammoth. In this picture, the American Woolly Mammoth is bigger than the African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana), though it is a bit smaller than the Columbian mammoth as it is almost the same size and they live throughout North America only, from Alaska and Canada to Chicago and Montana. They can even shed their fur to adapt to warmer climates. Adults like bulls and cows have no predators (besides Clovis hunters), however, individuals such as calves, elders, weak and ill mammoths are also vulnerable to predators like Smilodon, Lions, Bears, Hyena and Wolf
